DONE DEAL: NY Knicks Have Officially Sign NBA High Profile Veteran Forward With Terrific Track Record In an Insane and Discreet Deal

According to Ian Begley of SNY, the New York Knicks signed veteran forward TJ Warren to an Exhibit 10 non-guaranteed contract on Wednesday, the same day they made the Karl-Anthony Towns deal official.

The Knicks signed veteran TJ Warren to a non-guaranteed contract.

NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns
Warren, 31, has a shot to make the Knicks’ active roster, given the team’s lack of wing depth on the bench following the trade of Donte DiVincenzo for Towns. At 6’8″ and 220 pounds, he may provide size to their bench unit while also increasing versatility. Precious Achiuwa, listed at 6-8, is now the only player on their bench that is taller than 6-5.

If he makes the active roster, he is unlikely to play significant minutes behind OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges, but he is still a solid depth pickup with the regular season only three weeks away.

Warren has a terrific track record as a solid scorer.

NBA: Indiana Pacers at Phoenix Suns

Warren has spent the most of his NBA career with the Phoenix Suns, having played 10 seasons in total. He has also spent time with the Pacers, Nets, and Timberwolves. Injuries have plagued him hard in recent years, as he has only participated in 57 games since the 2020-21 season.
He has a career average of 14.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and a 50.5% shooting percentage. Warren averaged 19.1 points a season from 2017 to 2020, with two seasons where he shot more over 40% from three. If he can turn back the clock and put on a strong performance in training camp, he might be a significant contributor to a Knicks team with high expectations in 2024.
