The Denver Broncos may have far more pressing challenges than keeping up with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West or competing for an AFC Wild Card position at the end of the season. They will now have to worry about the long-term health of one of their top players.
Broncos fans erupt after devastating news that affects the entire team.
While the Broncos have not had a dominant wide receiver for Bo Nix, Courtland Sutton has led the way thus far with 21 catches for 273 yards and two touchdowns.
Just behind Sutton comes Josh Reynolds, who was acquired by the Broncos in the offseason after spending several seasons with the Detroit Lions. In only five games this season, Reynolds has 12 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown.
The Denver Broncos placed Reynolds on injured reserve a few weeks ago, ahead of the Chargers game, while the quick wideout recovers from a hand injury.
However, according to 9NEWS in Denver, Reynolds and another man were shot as they left a strip club on Friday.
On October 18, just after 3 a.m., someone called 911 to report a shooting near East Hampden Avenue and South Dahlia Street. According to court documents obtained by 9NEWS, the caller reported being shot while driving a blue Ford Bronco.
According to the paper, the call taker noticed that the caller had stopped replying and sounded like they were running.
A second 911 caller stated that he was being followed and that two of his buddies had been shot, according to court filings. That caller was running and requested an ambulance. A third caller said they had been shot at.
This news devastated the Broncos country.
