HUGE TENSION: Maxx Crosby and Other Las Vegas Raiders Internally Express Concerns Over Antonio Pierce’s Leadership

Last season, Josh McDaniels led the Las Vegas Raiders to a 3-5 record before being fired. This resulted in Antonio Pierce taking over on an interim basis, leading the squad to a 5-4 record. Pierce’s late-season success helped him secure the full-time role.

However, the Raiders begin Week 10 of the NFL schedule with a 2-7 record, and Coach Pierce’s job is on the line. Previously, we heard from several Raiders who advocated for Coach Piece, but the atmosphere in Vegas may be shifting.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ expectations for this season were already low due to their failure to find a stronger quarterback after replacing Jimmy Garoppolo. However, losing five games in a row is difficult, regardless of how others perceive it. As the losses accumulate, frustration builds.

Las Vegas began waving the white flag weeks ago when it traded Davante Adams to the Jets. While that move may be better for the future, the Raiders who did not leave Vegas are fighting for a win. In a recent attempt to change the Raiders’ fate, Maxx Crosby and others expressed their worries during a team meeting.

“Sources tell CBS Sports that numerous Raiders players, including team captain Maxx Crosby, talked freely at a players-and-staff meeting Monday about what they saw as inefficiencies and inadequacies in the organization on a weekly basis. Following Monday’s coaches meeting, the team met with the staff, and the floor was open for everyone to express their opinions. According to the sources, a few themes emerged. Players complained that the scheduling was inefficient. There was a lack of structure, “wasting time,” as well as a “lack of discipline and accountability.”

One source even stated that the conference ended “uncomfortably for all parties.”
