BREAKING: Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur Has Reportedly Send A Shocking and Surprising Request To Veteran QB Aaron Rodgers After He Reportedly Terminated His Contract With Jets .

For a long time, most people assumed that former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers would spend his whole career with the team that took a significant public relations hit by picking him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Even after Green Bay drafted Jordan Love in 2020, Rodgers’ wins of the next two NFL MVP Awards raised questions about whether he, unlike Brett Favre, would be allowed to retire with the Packers.

But then the 2022 season happened. Green Bay finished 8-9 after three straight 13-win seasons, and Rodgers suffered his lowest year yet. He completed 64.6% of his passes, totaling 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and a passer rating of 91.1.

The Packers traded Rodgers to the New York Jets following the season to give Love an opportunity to establish himself, since their future Hall of Famer was declining.

Aaron Rodgers, the former Green Bay Packers quarterback, has been a disaster for the Jets.
When Rodgers first arrived in New York, many anticipated him to take the team to the level of Super Bowl contenders. Unfortunately, his debut season with the Jets included only four offensive snaps. Rodgers tore his Achilles in Week One against the Buffalo Bills and was out for the season.

2024 was meant to be different. New York signed future Hall of Famer Tyron Smith to play left tackle, drafted Rodgers’ favourite wide receiver, and restored Rodgers’ health.

2024 was meant to be different. In addition to bringing in future Hall of Famer Tyron Smith to play left tackle and selecting Rodgers’ favourite wide out in the NFL Draft, New York’s top quarterback’s health improved.
Aaron Rodgers, former Green Bay Packers quarterback, may have played his last game for the New York Jets.
Rodgers and the Jets lost a 21-7 lead against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, dropping to 3-9 on the season (1-6 since firing Saleh). The former Packers’ great quarterback completed only 21 of 35 throws for 185 yards, two touchdowns, an interception returned for a score, and a passer rating of 73.1.

Zack Rosenblatt, who follows the Jets for The Athletic, noted following the game:

“When a quarterback is on his final legs, he’s generally the last one to realize it. However, the evidence is present on the field, in the performance. It’s in the throws he makes, the ones he misses, and the ones he doesn’t even try.

Rosenblatt claimed that there is speculation within New York’s brass that Rodgers should be benched for the remainder of the season. He reported that interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich stated that he did not plan on replacing quarterbacks “as of today,” but that he would need to review the game footage before commenting on Rodgers’ performance further.

What about the quarterback?

“Rodgers may have been offended by those questions at one point. He was probably justified in feeling that way — but not longer. On Sunday, he was more accepting of the prospect that he would not be starting for the Jets for much longer.

“‘Yeah, I don’t know,’ Rodgers replied. ‘We’ll sort it out once we have those chats.'”

That does not seem very promising for the former MVP.
