Since first-year head coach Antonio Pierce was fired, the Las Vegas Raiders have dominated the NFL news cycle this week. Maxx Crosby, a two-time All-Pro from Eastern Michigan, made it clear that he has no intention of being engaged in any personnel decisions this season, in contrast to last season when he supported Pierce and had a significant impact on the Raiders’ hiring decisions.
This revelation could be his way of admitting that his confidence in the interim head coach from the previous season was misplaced. This time of year, the four-time professional bowler is concentrating on a different endeavour. Crosby made the announcement that his podcast, “The Rush Podcast,” would be returning in a social media post on Wednesday.
In addition to discussing Pierce’s termination in his first show back, he made a troubling statement that has fans concerned about his future in Las Vegas. “I believed in AP,” said Crosby. “It’s regrettable… I’ll be working under a new head coach once more while I’m with the Raiders. Whatever it is, this will be my fifth head coach. Thus, we shall see.
Although Crosby has stated often this season that he intends to stay with the squad, it is obvious that he is annoyed by the team’s difficulties. Now that his show is back up and running, it will be fascinating to see if he continues to make remarks that suggest he is dissatisfied. Conversely, he reassures supporters that he is a Raider for life.
