According to 247sports, Auburn football signed Tanner Bailey as its fourth quarterback during the offseason.
Bailey, a Gordo native and former Class of 2022 recruit, signed with South Carolina and announced his retirement from sports in January 2024.
Bailey returned home and became a student at Auburn. He plans to return to the field after earning his degree in December and pursuing a second degree.
Bailey made one appearance for the Gamecocks in his two seasons at South Carolina. Prior to spring practices, his signing gives the quarterback position more depth.
With 5-star Deuce Knight joining in the 2025 recruiting class, Jackson Arnold joining from Oklahoma, and Ashton Daniels joining from Stanford, Auburn’s quarterback room is very different from what it was a season ago.
