JUST IN: Alabama Football Officially Hired former Alabama All-SEC center

William Vlachos, a former centre for Alabama, will become the assistant offensive line coach for the Miami Hurricanes.

A year after his college football career ended, Vlachos began coaching. The native of Alabama has held coaching positions at Ole Miss, Colorado, Western Kentucky, Central Michigan, the Buffalo Bills, and Alabama.From 2007 until 2011, he played football for Alabama. At Alabama, Vlachos played on two teams that won national championships. In 2011, he made the First Team All-SEC. He also participated in 48 Crimson Tide games. For a number of years, he was an important offensive guard for Alabama.

Vlachos will work with Mario Cristobal, the head coach of Miami, a previous colleague. The two coaches worked side by side from 2013 to 2016.
