For the Bulldogs, Edwards had a breakthrough season in 2024. The wide receiver hauled in 84 catches for 8 touchdowns and 986 yards. Edwards’ performance earned him a spot on the First Team of the Conference USA, as he easily led the Bulldogs in every major receiving metric.

Over the course of three seasons, Edwards participated in 27 games for Louisiana Tech. During his time with the Bulldogs, the quick receiver caught 107 catches for 1,270 yards and eight touchdowns. Edwards began his collegiate career at Hawaii, where he caught five passes for 37 yards in ten games as a rookie with the Rainbow Warriors.

The Wildcats have now added an incredible 18 players through the portal, including Edwards. The two most notable new players coming to Lexington for 2025 are defensive lineman David Gusta, formerly of Washington State, and wide receiver Kendrick Law, formerly of Alabama.

In the transfer portal, Kentucky needs to be aggressive in its pursuit of wide receivers. The Wildcats are shorthanded after Hardley Gilmore IV, Barion Brown, Dane Key, Anthony Brown-Stephens, and Brandon White all left this offseason. Despite having those superstars, Kentucky’s pass offence had a terrible 2024 season and ended up at No. 112 in the nation.
