Kirby Smart isn’t wasting time this offseason putting together Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class.
On Thursday night, the head coach paid an in-home visit to one of the class’s top prospects, quarterback Jared Curtis. The teenage quarterback shared a photo of himself with the coach on social media.
“Great in-home visit tonight!” Curtis exclaimed.
Curtis is a 5-star prospect, the No. 2 quarterback, and the top Tennessee player in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Curtis has attracted significant interest from Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, and Oregon, among others.
Curtis had an outstanding 2024 season for Nashville Christian Academy. The quarterback passed for 2,830 yards, 40 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions. Curtis also carried for 637 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground, helping his squad finish 12-1 overall and 5-0 in district play.
As a prospect, Curtis is praised for his arm strength and movement despite his larger build. The quarterback’s well-rounded skill set should make him an excellent fit in practically any collegiate offence, particularly given his propensity to scramble for extra yards.
Smart has received commitments from four players in the 2026 class, and the Bulldogs now have the No. 15 class. The class is currently led by three 4-star talents, including wide receiver Vance Spafford and tight end Lincoln Keyes.
Smart has yet to sign a quarterback for 2026, so Curtis would be a major addition.
