BREAKING: Packers’ And Matt LaFleur Just Stole Massive Name From Mike McCarthy and Dallas Cowboys ….

The Green Bay Packers have already made some efforts to enhance their coaching staff ahead of the 2025 season. Revamping the front office is critical before free agency begins and the draft approaches.

One piece that Matt LaFleur received today could have been a preemptive move.

Aaron Nagler of CheeseHead TV posted a video claiming that Packers’ Matt LaFleur stole Mike McCarthy’s name.

With McCarthy still looking for work, Getsy was a possible candidate to join his next squad.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers have hired Luke Getsy as their senior offensive assistant.

LaFleur reinstated Getsy as an advisor to finish the 2024 season after he was dismissed by the Las Vegas Raiders in November of last year.

Getsy, 40, joined McCarthy’s staff in 2014 as an offensive quality control assistant. His career as wide receivers coach lasted two seasons (2016-17) before becoming Mississippi State’s offensive coordinator for one season. In 2019, he returned to Green Bay as LaFleur’s quarterbacks coach, and he was promoted to passing game coordinator by 2020. From 2019 to 2022, he worked for LaFleur.
