The last several days have been both happy and heartbreaking for Ohio State supporters. Almost two weeks ago, the Buckeyes won their eighth championship, and six days later, their defensive coordinator, Jim Knowles, left to accept the same job at Penn State.
Ohio State still has to appoint a new defensive coordinator, and now that Justin Frye has departed for the Arizona Cardinals, the team will be seeking for a new offensive line coach.
The Buckeyes will look very different this season than they did last year, with several important members of the coaching staff and players departing. Still, the most significant one bid farewell to Ohio State on Friday night.

Will Howard, Ohio State’s quarterback, has announced his departure. Will Howard shared a 1.44-second video on X with the remark, “Thank you, Ohio State.” “For everything.”
Howard joined Columbus this past offseason after four seasons at Kansas State. This season, the 23-year-old quarterback quickly established himself as one of the best in the country, leading his team to the most spectacular playoff run in college football.
After declaring for the NFL Draft, the fifth-year starting quarterback hopes to play on Sundays again. Howard was meant to be in Mobile, Alabama, for the Senior Bowl this past week, but he opted to withdraw since the playoff run had taken a toll on him.

Howard is likely to be selected on Day Three of the draft, and he hopes to land in a position that will allow him to develop into a starter.
