HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT: Lions QB Jared Goff As Torn The Hearts Of Lions Apart With a Huge Career Move Announcement ” THE END OF AN ERA”

The Detroit Lions are in their offseason, which gives them more time to pursue other interests outside of football and, on a personal level, live a little. Jared Goff, the Lions quarterback, is spending his time off to pursue a new endeavour that has nothing to do with the NFL.

On Friday, January 31, Goff took to social media to announce a special project he’s working on with some big Detroit figures. This guy may be from California, but he’s a lifelong Detroit resident.

Jared Goff joins an investment group led by Pistons owner Tom Gores to bring the WNBA back to Detroit.

“I’m excited to join this remarkable group of leaders in our efforts to bring a WNBA club to Detroit! “This is an incredible opportunity for our vibrant community and the most passionate fans in the country,” he wrote on his Instagram story.
In addition to Gores and Goff, other investors include former NBA players Grant Hill and Chris Webber, as well as Detroit Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp.

Webber announced the news on Instagram, writing, “Shout out to Tom Gores and the Ownership Group.” We are committed to bringing a WNBA team back to Detroit.”

He expressed his excitement for Michigan supporters, the city of Detroit, women’s basketball, and “girldads like me.” I was going to talk on how much fun it is to coach my daughter’s second grade squad. The Cheetah Girls… “I can’t wait to tell them about this at our next practice.”
History of the Detroit Shock.
From 1998 until 2009, Detroit had a WNBA club named the Detroit Shock. The franchise fared well, winning WNBA championships in 2003, 2006, and 2008. The team relocated to Tulsa from 2010 until 2015 before becoming the Dallas Wings in 2016. During their stay in Detroit, the Shock were consistently regarded as one of the league’s top five teams in terms of attendance, and they led the league in attendance for three seasons.

Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink are among the WNBA’s most well-known players. With the WNBA’s growing popularity and Detroit’s history of having a successful WNBA league, it’s no surprise that this group of investors sees a potential possibility in a new Detroit WNBA club.

Goff’s wife, Christen, is also involved in the bid and responded to the move on social media with the hashtag “LetsBringIt” and a blue heart.

Detroit isn’t the only city looking to lure a WNBA team to town. Other cities contending for the award include Houston, Philadelphia, and Tennessee.

Detroit sports has been enjoying a moment lately, with the Detroit Lions’ success and Pistons star Cade Cunningham receiving national All-Star acclaim this season, so it may seem like a good time to bring another franchise to the Motor City.
