Jannik Sinner has literally dominated the tennis world over the previous twelve months, thanks to his multiple successes and always right behaviour. Unlike other current athletes, the world number one prefers not to be the centre of attention and is not fascinated with the spotlight.
This mindset is evident in his tennis talents, as he can keep extraordinary control even under high-pressure situations. Because of this capacity, the Italian ace was able to continue playing his best tennis despite the intense stress associated with the doping case that struck him in spring 2024.
The 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria has maintained an exceptional level throughout 2024, winning more than 70 matches and losing only six, and his 2025 campaign has begun as well as it could have. Jannik won the Australian Open for the second time in a row, and he celebrated his third Grand Slam victory with his entire team.
Sinner did not defend his championship in Rotterdam last week to recuperate following his trip to Australia, but he has already resumed practice in Monte Carlo. The three-time Grand Slam champion will resume to action in Doha next week, in an ATP 500 stacked with talent.
Bill Gates praised Sinner.
All of Jannik’s accolades, both inside and outside of his sport, attest to his global significance. In the most recent episode of the Italian show ‘Che Tempo Che Fa’, host Fabio Fazio interviewed Bill Gates.
The latter admitted to being a great fan of Sinner, saying, “Among the players of the young generation, he is my favourite, and I like him. He is always calm and has a positive attitude in every situation. He has become a star as a result of his achievements during the last year.”
Gates has always been an avid tennis fan, and he attends several professional tour events, particularly at Indian Wells.
