Six years, one playoff appearance? That is Maxx Crosby’s experience so far with the Las Vegas Raiders, and if things change, the Green Bay Packers could be a better fit for him.
This is what National Football League source Ian Rapoport suggests in his most recent report, as Crosby’s future with the organization hangs in the balance amidst the team’s struggles and decision to rebuild.
“While hiring Super Bowl winner Pete Carroll was a step toward stability, the Raiders still lack a franchise quarterback and have a lot of work to do to field a competitive roster,” Rapoport wrote in an NFL piece alongside Tom Pelissero.
“Trading Crosby for a bounty of picks would be one way to expedite that process, and Crosby might welcome the change, particularly if it’s to a playoff team where he knows people (e.g. Green Bay).”
Crosby’s 2024 season ended prematurely in the middle of December when he elected to undergo ankle surgery, which had been ailing him since the season began.
He appeared in only 12 games last season, recording 7.5 sacks and 20 quarterback hits.
Packers fans’ reception of Maxx Crosby
One of the questions the Packers must address this offseason is their defence.
They already have Rashan Gary, a Pro Bowler, but there is room for development elsewhere.
This is why the potential of Crosby joining the Packers is good news.
I’d have to purchase the jersey the same day https://t.co/tHy8f7uwgG

If I were the #Raiders’ decision-maker and the #Packers called about Maxx Crosby, my asking price would be:
-2025 and 2026 first-round picks
-2025 2nd round pick -2026 3rd round pick Rashan Gary
I hang up the phone if it is anything less.
