BREAKING: New Orlean Saint Officially Make Shocking Decision on Veteran QB Derek Carr

The New Orleans Saints got off to a fast start last season. The Saints started the season 2-0 and appeared to be one of the top offenses in the NFL.

Unfortunately, that was as fantastic as it got. New Orleans concluded the season 5-12, missing the playoffs. The Saints’ difficulties prompted many to ask if it was time for a complete overhaul, including moving on from quarterback Derek Carr.

We now know what the franchise is considering about the veteran passer.

Saints GM Makes Final Decision on Derek Carr's 2025 Season

“Saints general manager Mickey Loomis indicated the team will stick with Derek Carr as the team’s starting quarterback in 2025,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fans reacted to the news via social media.

“And this is why no one wanted the position. “Mickey Loomis continues to call the shots that no one wants to hear,” one fan remarked on Twitter.

“Because they are in cap heII, they do not have a choice. However, they truly need to tank and rebuild. So, this could be an excellent approach to accomplish it,” someone else said.

Saints QB Derek Carr has once again been named as a trade target for an AFC contender

“I understand they may not have a better option, but… How much longer will they kick the can down the road? “The team desperately needs a rebuild, and sticking with a bunch of old players only keeps them in purgatory,” one fan wrote.

It will be intriguing to see whether Carr and the Saints can turn things around.
