DEAL SEALED: Cleveland Brown Have Officially Completed The Signing Of Super Bowl Winning QB In a Stunning Free Agency

It’s anyone’s guess who will be the Cleveland Browns’ starting quarterback in 2025, as the two quarterbacks on the current roster are freshly acquired Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson, whose twice-torn Achilles will most certainly prevent him from ever playing in a Browns uniform again.

With 10 picks in the 2019 draft, it’s a good guess that the Browns will use at least one of them on a quarterback, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of a surprise decision with Pickett.

Chef Zae of Honor The Land stated on a recent edition of his show that we may see more Pickett than we realize in 2025.

Kenny Pickett "I'm here to compete" | Cleveland Browns

“I’m almost wondering if…this is gonna be a year where Kevin Stefanski gets to flex his muscles, gets to show you what he can do with Kenny Pickett, and then train a quarterback behind him.”
It sounds farfetched, but given how the offseason has progressed, Browns fans should begin to consider this as a real possibility.

According to early rumors, Pickett was assured upon arrival that he would be given a chance to compete for the starting quarterback position, and now that free agency is nearly finished, there is no one left to sign who could realistically fight with him for the QB1 post.

The only other alternative is a trade, since Kirk Cousins has been connected to the Browns for most of the offseason.

Pickett only appeared in five games for the Philadelphia Eagles last season after starting two years for the Pittsburgh Steelers, when he had 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Kenny Pickett Is The NEW QUARTERBACK of the Cleveland Browns, For Now

The soon-to-be 27-year-old will seek to prove he can still be a viable starter in the NFL with his third team, hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous QB reclamation projects like Baker Mayfield, Geno Smith, and Sam Darnold.

If the Browns do not choose Shedeur Sanders with the second overall choice, supporters should brace themselves for a lot of Pickett, unless something unexpected occurs.
