With the 2025 NFL Draft just around the corner, Minnesota Vikings fans are buzzing after General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah delivered a surprising update regarding the team’s quarterback situation — one that could reshape the franchise’s immediate and long-term future.
Speaking to reporters during a pre-draft media availability on Tuesday, Adofo-Mensah confirmed that the Vikings are “actively exploring all quarterback options,” and hinted that significant movement could occur before or during the first round of the draft.
“Everything’s on the table,” Adofo-Mensah said. “Whether it’s moving up, staying put, or even making a trade — we’re evaluating scenarios that give this team the best chance to succeed now and in the years to come.”
The Vikings currently hold the No. 24 overall pick, but league insiders have linked Minnesota to multiple trade-up scenarios, particularly to secure a top quarterback prospect such as Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy or LSU’s Jayden Daniels. With Kirk Cousins no longer on the roster and Sam Darnold serving as a placeholder, the front office appears poised to find their long-term answer under center.
