According to Hayes Fawcett of On3/Rivals, defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil has joined the Miami Hurricanes’ 2026 recruiting class after flipping his promise from Clemson, giving Miami their 25th pledge of the cycle.
Stancil, listed at 6-foot-3 and 270 pounds, is regarded as a high defensive prospect. On3 ranks him as the No. 120 overall player and the No. 10 defensive lineman in his class, while 247Sports Composite puts him No. 168 nationally and No. 23 among defensive linemen. Rivals ranks him as the country’s No. 120 overall prospect, the No. 10 defensive lineman, and the No. 10 player in North Carolina.

Stancil’s move marks the Tigers’ third decommitment in the 2026 cycle, following edge rusher Dre Quinn and safety Blake Stewart. Clemson now has only two defensive line commits in the class, JR Hardrick and Kameron Cody, as the Tigers seek to stabilize a class that has slid from No. 15 to No. 16 nationally.
Stancil has had a successful senior season on the field. In the first nine games, he made 56 tackles, including 15 for loss, four sacks, and two forced fumbles. He also recorded nine sacks as a sophomore.
Stancil’s physicality, quick first step, and effectiveness around the line of scrimmage align wonderfully with Miami head coach Mario Cristobal’s vision and defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman’s scheme, and he has also benefited from growth under NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor.

This pledge comes during a productive stretch for the Hurricanes, who have made two Class of 2026 flips, including wide receiver Milan Parris from Iowa State.
According to On3, Miami’s class is currently ranked 12th nationally and first in the ACC, putting the Hurricanes in position to develop a formidable roster in the future years.
