BREAKING NEWS: Details of what Aaron Rodgers told NBC about Las Vegas Raiders clash as he also issues fresh fitness update

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (AP) — NBC’s Melissa Stark reported during the telecast of the Jets’ game in Las Vegas on Sunday night that New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said his goal is to return from a torn Achilles tendon by mid-December.

Rodgers has previously stated that he hopes to return before the season’s end, but this is the most specific he has been. In the season opener against the Buffalo Bills, he suffered what appeared to be a season-ending injury.

“He said, ‘I know it sounds insane, but you do a good surgery, you have a good patient, it makes this possible,'” Stark told the audience during the broadcast.

However, Rodgers, who was on the sideline, told Stark that he “just wasn’t feeling it” about throwing passes during pre-game warmups as he had been doing for the past few weeks.

Rodgers stated that he has been jogging at 50% of his body weight on a weight-limiting treadmill. This week, his goal is to raise it to 75%.
