According to the Detroit Free Press,Detroit Tigers, a key member of the Detroit Tigers’ coaching staff, has accepted a new position with the New York Yankees. Rowson’s career is about to change dramatically as he leaves his position as an assistant hitting coach with the Tigers to become the Yankees’ hitting coach.

Rowson’s departure, known for his friendship with Yankees star Aaron Judge, is a significant gain for the Yankees as well as a loss for the Tigers. His resume includes stops as a hitting coach for the Minnesota Twins and a bench coach for the Miami Marlins.
