BRAVES UPDATES: Big one as The Major League Baseball All-Star Game is returning to Atlanta.

ATLANTA (Atlanta News First) – The Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be held in Atlanta once again.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced Thursday that the game would take place in 2025 at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.

It will be the city’s third time hosting the game, and the first time it will be held at Truist Park. Atlanta Stadium hosted the Midsummer Classic in 1972, and Turner Field hosted the All-Star Game in 2000.

MLB awarded the city the 2021 All-Star Game in 2019, but it was moved to Denver’s Coors Field in April 2021 due to opposition to sweeping changes to Georgia’s voting laws.

“Time and again, Atlanta has proven to be a world-class destination for the most exciting entertainment and sporting events,” Atlanta Braves Chairman Terry McGuirk stated in a statement. “I am thrilled that baseball fans will be able to enjoy Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta, as well as everything else this area has to offer.” We look forward to collaborating with MLB in the coming months to create memorable experiences that will showcase and support our community.”
