SAD NEWS: Baltimore Ravens Fans React To Heartbreaking News Regarding Star Player

In an injury-plagued game, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 34-20 on Thursday Night Football. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left the game with what appeared to be a sprained wrist, and quarterback Lamar Jackson gave everyone a scare when he appeared to have an ankle injury. However, the Ravens lost one of their star players for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season.

According to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, star tight end Mark Andrews suffered an ankle injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season. Andrews was running with the ball when Bengals defender Logan Wilson awkwardly pulled him down to the ground, causing Andrews to land on his ankle in a gruesome manner.
Baltimore’s loss will be devastating because the star tight end has been their best pass catcher and one of the best tight ends in the league. Fortunately for the Ravens, quarterback Lamar Jackson will be fine after telling reporters after the win to “not talk about the ankle anymore.”

Andrews will have 544 receiving yards, 45 receptions, and six touchdowns by the end of the 2023 NFL season. He’s been one of the league’s best tight ends since joining in 2018. Back in 2021, the tight end had well over 1,000 yards receiving, cementing his place as one of the NFL’s top tight ends. This injury will undoubtedly set him and his team back, but hopefully he will recover quickly.

After their win on Thursday, Baltimore improved to 8-3 and remains one of the top teams in the AFC Conference. They are also currently leading the highly competitive AFC North.

They’ll play the Los Angeles Chargers next week in California, and they’ll have to win without their safety net in the passing game.
