LEAKED: Brown head coach Kevin Stefanski Kevin Stefanski reveals details plans for Joe Flacco

Following star quarterback Deshaun Watson’s season-ending injury last week, the Cleveland Browns decided to bring in veteran free-agent quarterback Joe Flacco to help bolster the team’s quarterbacks room. But that doesn’t mean he’ll be the team’s starting quarterback.

During his press conference on Monday, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski clarified the team’s plans for Joe Flacco, stating that rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson will continue to be the team’s starting quarterback, but Flacco is there to add some experience to the quarterback room.

“Dorian will start,” Stefanski told Scott Petrak of the Chronicle-Telegram. “Joe’s job is to help this team.” We were able to bring on a man with a lot of experience. He’ll be fantastic in that room and on this team.”
Though he wasn’t the most consistent in his second NFL start, Thompson-Robinson earned his first NFL win this week by assisting the Browns on a game-winning field goal with less than two minutes remaining.

It’s clear that the Browns want to give Thompson-Robinson more opportunities rather than handing the team over to the more experienced Flacco.
