Sanders, an electric midfielder with fantastic hands and leadership qualities, will look to make an immediate impact in a talented midfield setup after transferring from Tasmania after boarding in Victoria.
“Having 15 of my family and friends at the draft was very special; it was great to share the moment with them,” Sanders said.

Sanders has had such an impact in his draft season that he has already been given a nickname.

“The nickname Colonel has spread a little. It doesn’t bother me. “I believe Cal Twomey was the first to think of it,” he said.

Sanders’ phone was inundated with messages following his selection on Monday night, as well as a first meeting with coach Luke Beveridge.

“It’s been great getting messages from all the boys, including Bont, Adam Treloar, Libba, and Bailey.” “It’s been really cool,” he said.

“It was an honor to meet Bevo; he’s such a nice guy.” We just had a genuine conversation about my family and other topics.

“I’ve always pulled my socks up since Under 9’s.” When I was younger, Dad always told me to keep doing it. If I don’t wear them up, I feel strange. I’ll keep doing it for the Bulldogs.”

Sanders will join fellow draftee Jordan Croft later this week to begin pre-season training with the Club.
