‘It’s no surprise’: Alan Shearer confuse he is not surprised by £100m PL star Manchester city Board are keen to sign come January

Alan Shearer believes Manchester City will be interested in Brighton teenager Evan Ferguson at some point in the future, and he is not surprised by the club’s apparent interest.

The teenager has recently emerged onto the spotlight for the Seagulls and impressed.

Despite his youth, he appears to have a very competitive game.

And he’s already getting a lot of attention.

Last week, it was alleged that City are already keeping an eye on the Republic of Ireland striker.

And now, Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time record goalscorer, has issued his judgement on Ferguson – and he can see him in a City shirt…

For him, despite possessing Erling Haaland, there is a very good chance that City will come calling for the 18-year-old at some moment.

“It’s no surprise Manchester City are reportedly among the clubs watching him,” he remarked. It would be more surprising if they weren’t.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if Ferguson was the next big transfer out of Brighton, not that I wish it for them, but if he keeps progressing the way he is, something will happen not too far down the line — for the right price, of course.”

Everyone knows how Brighton is when it comes to selling.So City may have to pay a British record sum to sign this young player Shearer described as a “very special talent” who will “become a superstar within a couple of years.”

According to reports, he is already worth approximately £100 million. This will only get worse in the future.

He is well on his way to become an incredibly outstanding player, and there is little doubt he will cost a fortune given Brighton’s ruthlessness in selling.

The notion of him playing alongside Erling Haaland is extremely terrifying.
