Justin Madubuike is one such player, and he recently spoke with Adam Schefter about his recent performance.
When asked about the reason for his breakout season, Madubuike replied, “It’s just me developing as a football player, always learning, being a sponge.”
Madubuike has 10 sacks, which is a career high for the fourth-year player.
Prior to this season, his best season total was 5.5 sacks in 2022.
He plans to blow that mark out of the water and hopes to continue developing his game in the second half of the season and the playoffs.
When asked about his elite performance in a contract year, Madubuike tried to avoid answering when speaking with Schefter.
While he understands the value of being paid, he also appears to want to improve his craft in any way he can.
The Ravens are poised to make a significant postseason run, and if Madubuike can hone his skills before then, the Ravens should be able to compete.
