JUST IN: Texans’ QB C. J. Stroud responses to accusation of reportedly playing a role in Panthers firing Frank Reich

The Houston Texans won another game, this time defeating the Denver Broncos 22-17. CJ Stroud, on the other hand, got into a shoving match with linebacker Alex Singleton. It resulted in a penalty in favor of Houston.

After the game, Stroud was asked about the altercation, and the rookie quarterback refused to back down. According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, he used a quote from popular YouTuber and comedian Druski to explain his thought process on the play.

Inside Texans QB C.J. Stroud's big day

“I’m not going to let someone just come up to me and push me, especially in my own home.” “I’m going to stand on business,” Druski said.

Isn’t that the best quote ever? Druski has a fantastic sense of humour. It’s therefore amusing to hear the Texans’ rookie quote him when describing his defense against Alex Singleton.

With that said, Singleton’s decision to go after CJ Stroud was a blunder. The Texans were almost certainly going to punt after that play. But Denver’s linebacker simply took matters into his own hands.

The Texans had the last laugh as they won. However, this may go down as the rookie quarterback’s all-time quote. With this quote and his outstanding season, there’s no reason CJ Stroud shouldn’t be named AFC Rookie of the Year.

Stroud finished the game against the Broncos with 274 yards and a touchdown. It was a solid performance against one of the league’s better defenses. In their next game, Stroud and the Texans will face the New York Jets.
