BREAKING NEWS: Milwaukee Bucks Get Injury Update Boost Ahead of New York Knicks Elimination Game

The Milwaukee Bucks will be shorthanded when they host the New York Knicks in the quarterfinals of the NBA’s In-Season Tournament on Tuesday night. Both Jae Crowder and Pat Connaugthon will be unavailable due to injuries that have kept them out for the past several games.

The Bucks, on the other hand, have received a boost just before tip-off. This is provided by rookie Andre Jackson Jr.

The Milwaukee Bucks Andre Jackson Jr. is ready to play against the Knicks.

Due to lower back spasms, Jackson missed Milwaukee’s most recent game, a 132-121 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. He was initially listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game, but Bucks fans will be relieved to know that he is now cleared to play.

Head coach Adrian Griffin confirmed Jackson’s availability for the game against the Knicks less than two hours before tip-off:

Jackson is no celebrity, but he has recently made some noise. The 22-year-old is also expected to play a larger role in the interim due to the team’s wing injury woes.

The rookie has averaged 2.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per game in 15 appearances this season (three starts, by the way). There’s no denying that Jackson’s numbers have been underwhelming, but he’s the type of player whose contributions extend beyond the box score.
