The Daily Star reports that because of the difficulties in the process, the buyout agreement between Everton and 777 Partners may possibly fail.
The English daily stated in its print edition on Wednesday (13 September, Page 44) that Farhad Moshiri is still confident that it would go through despite this turn.
The club has apparently been up for takeover for some time, but this time around, there seems to be optimism on both sides.
Do it now.
Fans of Everton can be excused for being impatient with the takeover procedure because it seems to go on forever.
After two seasons of almost being relegated, they have witnessed Mohsiri run the club into the ground and are done with the owner.
Although they cannot hold him accountable for not spending enough money, the gap between the hierarchy and the fans has never been wider since he has always had the wrong people in his corner.
Although 777 Partners have its own problems, the supporters deserve a new beginning and an end to the trying time under Moshiri.
Despite having a manager of such caliber as Carlo Ancelotti in charge, the Toffees managed to deteriorate during his tenure.
Goodison Park requires a structural upgrade, which can only be done when Moshiri is about to leave.
