JUST IN: Michigan Football Reaches Out To Texas A&M offensive lineman Transfer

The Wolverines are looking to add to their roster through the transfer portal, and Michigan has reportedly contacted another player through the portal.

Michigan has been in contact with several players through the transfer portal, and another player with whom the Wolverines have been in contact was revealed on Saturday.

Chase Bisontis, Don Bosco Prep - Prep Redzone

Texas A&M offensive lineman Chase Bisontis entered the transfer portal on December 6, and the one-year college player has sparked a lot of interest since then.

According to Hayes Fawcett, Michigan is just one of the schools interested in the former Texas A&M offensive lineman. Bisontis has been contacted by a total of 26 teams.

Bisontis was a four-star recruit in Texas A&M’s 2023 recruiting class and the 46th-ranked player in the country, according to 247Sports.

Bisonis is the No. 8 ranked player in the transfer portal and the top-ranked OT after one season in College Station, according to 247Sports. Bisontis attended Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey.

Texas A&M’s 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive tackle had a strong freshman season. For the Aggies, he started all 12 games at right tackle. He did allow four sacks in his first season of college play, but he had a respectable 63.3 run-blocking grade in 2023, according to PFF.

Michigan’s starting offensive line will almost certainly be missing Drake Nugent, Karsen Barnhart, Zak Zinter, and Trevor Keegan. LaDarius Henderson, Myles Hinton, and Trente Jones could also leave the Wolverines.

The Wolverines will look to add a few players to restructure their elite offensive line.
