HUGE CLASH: Furious Tigers fans stun the Comerica Park Amid latest news concerning the video display at Comerica Park

As part of a wider signage update that includes the installation of five additional displays along the fascia, dugout, and line score spots, the Detroit Tigers are going big at Comerica Park in 2024. They will be erecting the second-largest primary video display in the major leagues.

The existing Comerica Park outfield display will be replaced by the new, second-largest display in the country, which Daktronics will install. It will have more than 15,000 square feet of digital canvas with 14.1 million pixels. To make a single outfield show, the display itself is roughly 67 feet high by 185 feet wide, with a lower component spanning nearly 35 feet high by 96 feet high. In order to give Tiger supporters clear picture at wide angle vision for mass appeal throughout the stadium, it has 10-millimeter pixel spacing.

According to a news release from Daktronics President and CEO Reece Kurtenbach, “Our company takes great pride in providing professional sports customers with the latest technology and overall digital real estate to execute their complex and engaging game-day experiences.” “We’re excited to work with the Detroit Tigers once more on a sizable stadium improvement project that features LED technology. This project will enhance the Comerica Park experience for their fans.”

At the ballpark, two ribbon displays—one along the first baseline and the other along the third baseline—will also be replaced. These will all be about 75 feet broad by 3.5 feet high. They offer the chance to highlight sponsors during events and share extra graphics with the main display.

Similar to this, each dugout roof’s front edge will have long, narrow exhibits erected along it. Each of these two screens will be larger than 0.5 feet in height and 92.5 feet in width. They will assist in branding the Tigers and deliver extra credit to their partners and sponsors at each game.

A new, nearly five-foot-tall by ninety-six-foot-wide display will be installed in the outfield beneath the current one. It will provide fans with real-time pitching data, branding, and fan entertainment graphics during every game.

The old screens will have 6-millimeter pixel spacing, while the new ribbon boards will have 10-millimeter spacing.

The outfield video display can display various zones of content or one huge image thanks to its flexible content zoning capability. Any mix of live video, quick replays, current game information and statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages can be displayed in these zones.
