DONE DEAL: Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has announced the sensational signing of AAC Defensive Player of the Year

On Saturday, the Texas Longhorns won a big transfer portal game. UTSA EDGE Trey Moore has decided to transfer from San Antonio to Austin, according to the Longhorns. Moore’s commitment, announced Saturday afternoon, gives Texas an absolute superstar in the gateway.

Hayes Fawcett of On3 broke the news of Moore’s commitment to the Longhorns.

“Former UTSA EDGE Trey Moore has committed to Texas,” Fawcett stated.
Moore was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season, according to Fawcett. During a monster season, the Roadrunners’ EDGE had 14 sacks and 17.5 TFL. To say the least, he’s a crucial addition for Texas in the future.

The Longhorns have a lot going for them right now. After years of disappointment, Texas won the Big 12 again this season. Furthermore, Texas qualified for the College Football Playoff for the first time since its start nearly ten years ago. On New Year’s Day 2024, the Longhorns will face the unbeaten Washington Huskies in the Sugar Bowl.

If the Longhorns win, they will travel to Texas for the College Football Playoff Final. The CFP Final will be held at NRG Stadium in Houston this year. If Texas wins, it’s safe to say there will be a large party in Houston with plenty of burnt orange.
