Jackson was a member of Miami’s 2022 recruiting class but decided to reopen his recruitment shortly after signing. Miami agreed to release him, and he wound up at East Carolina. Jackson had 19 tackles and an interception for a touchdown in 8 games as a Pirate in 2023.

 

Jackson revealed his intention to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday.

And he’s already hinting that he might join the Hurricane s.

Jackson saw significant playing time as a freshman at ECU, and Miami has several openings in their defensive backfield. The Hurricanes’ starting safeties, Kam Kinchens and James Williams, were selected in the NFL Draft.
