Geoffrey Moncada, in addition to Giorgio Furlani, was present at Milanello today for AC Milan’s training session. However, this has nothing to do with Stefano Pioli’s future, who continues to have management’s support.
Milan will face Newcastle in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, and they will need to recover from their derby loss to Inter. It won’t be easy, but getting off to a solid start in the Champions League is critical.
As our friends at SempreMilan.it pointed out, CEO Furlani was joined in Milanello today by top scout Geoffrey Moncada.
The couple, however, were not there to meet with Pioli, but rather to express their support.
Pioli will have a press conference at 14:00 tomorrow, and considering the conclusion of the derby, some fascinating questions are likely to be posed. In any event, Milan must turn the page and concentrate on the game against Newcastle.
According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Pioli may make two more changes to the starting lineup. As Christian Pulisic need rest, Samuel Chukwueze will make his first start on the right flank, and there may possibly be a change in midfield.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Rade Krunic, and Tijjani Reijnders have all had extensive action this season, and one of them will be rested, according to the report. As a result, Pioli is likely to offer Tommaso Pobega or Yunus Musah a chance.
