HUGE BOOST: Milwaukee Bucks HC Adrian Griffin Provides surprising updtes on Jae Crowder’s Injury status

The last time we saw Jae Crowder play for the Milwaukee Bucks was more than a month ago. Midway through November, the seasoned swingman had surgery on his left adductor, and he has been making great progress toward his recuperation ever since.

The 33-year-old’s condition was recently updated by Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin, and Bucks supporters will be happy to hear that Crowder is making good progress.

In remarks to media prior to the Cleveland Cavaliers game on Friday, Griffin said that Crowder has been steadily advancing toward his goal of playing again this season. The 6-foot-6 forward’s original eight-week recovery schedule called for his return by mid- to late-January.

As of this now, it seems like Crowder will make his comeback when originally projected:

Through Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Griffin stated, “He’s getting close, but he’s still a ways (away from returning).” However, he is developing wonderfully. Once more, it’s another skilled guy. He’s stepping up his training and taking care of all he has to both on and off the court. He’s improving so well, I believe he was doing some sprints earlier today. I’m not sure of his precise return date, though.

According to Griffin, the Bucks are still unsure about Crowder’s anticipated return date, thus his return could be further delayed. In an attempt to get the seasoned swingman back (well) in time for the playoffs, Milwaukee’s coaching staff and medical staff will undoubtedly err on the side of caution because he is no spring chicken.

Crowder has averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26.7 minutes per game throughout his nine appearances this season. Additionally, he has made 1.8 triples per game at a very effective 51.6 percent clip.
