JUST IN: Because of their Abysmal performance,Giant Head Coach Is Taking Serious measure to Effect Changes which may also mean firing Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka

Following his team’s dismal 5-11 season, head coach Brian Daboll of the New York Giants may implement some significant changes. Taking over play-calling responsibilities could be one of those adjustments, which might also include sacking Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, who was among the league’s top prospects for head coach just a year ago.

Mike Kafka: Giants' opportunity was “special to me and my family” - Big Blue View

Following Week 17, FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano reported, “Mike Kafka was one of the hottest names on the head-coaching carousel last offseason, interviewing for four different vacant jobs.” He probably won’t have any interview opportunities a year later. He may even be unemployed. Even while nobody knows exactly what Brian Daboll has planned, a number of individuals within the organization expressed that they wouldn’t be shocked if Daboll assumed control of the offensive play calling himself in 2024.

Vacchiano continued by stating that “many” people inside the organization believed that Daboll calling the plays would be the game plan from the beginning, given his remarkable track record of success doing so with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. But Kafka performed admirably in that capacity the previous season, assisting Daniel Jones in obtaining a $40 million-a-year contract and leading the Giants to a 9-7-1 record and postseason trip.
Regardless of who was starting at quarterback—Daniel Jones, Tyrod Taylor, or Tommy DeVito—the New York offense was dreadful this year, though the latter two did have a few shining moments.

Nevertheless, the team is rated 30th in scoring, 30th in yards, 32nd in passing, and 16th in rushing going into Week 18. That is just not acceptable, and if the reports are accurate, it might be the reason Kafka loses his job this offseason.
