DONE DEAL: Miami Hurricanes have announced the signing of Star Quarterback Drops Out Of NFL Draft in a blockbuster deal.

On Saturday, the Miami Hurricanes scored a major triumph in the transfer portal.

Cam Ward, the Canes’ star quarterback, has changed his mind about entering the NFL Draft rather than joining the team.
For the Washington State Cougars in 2023, Ward passed for 3,736 yards, 25 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He announced his intention to enter the transfer portal after the season.

Inside story on how Cam Ward and Miami reversed field

Ward immediately rose to prominence in the portal. According to reports, Oregon, Ohio State, and Florida State were all interested in him. But it was the Hurricanes who swiftly took the lead.

Despite the fact that Miami sent the Ward family to supper at Prime 112, a top-tier restaurant on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, and brought in rapper Rick Ross as part of the pitch, Ward decided to go pro instead.

But money does speak. And few teams have as little purchasing power as the Hurricanes.

Ward has returned. He immediately elevates Miami’s ACC standing and fits perfectly in the system of second-year offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson.

Miami offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson happy with progress

Dawson employs an air-raid system identical to the ones Ward used to play in at Washington State and, before that, Incarnate World.

Ward is the second quarterback to join the Canes in recent days. Reese Poffenbarger of Albany, who topped all FCS quarterbacks in passing yards, has revealed his intention to transfer to Miami.
