ESPN NEWS UPDATE: Star Myles Garrett, in deep pain, stating this is the most painful loss he has had since his career, vocalized his frustration on Browns Coaches After Early NFL playoff Exit

Defensive end for the Aggies Myles Garrett was furious after his team was eliminated from the NFL playoffs on Saturday. In Houston, the Browns were humiliated by the Texans, who defeated them 45-14.

The Browns led 14-10 at one time, but the rest of the game was all Texans, including two consecutive pick-6s thrown by Cleveland quarterback Joe Flacco.
The Browns had the league’s best defence into the playoffs, but it couldn’t stop Houston rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, who threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns.

Garrett used phrases like “undermanned” and “outgunned” to describe his team’s performance after the game.

“We got beat,” Garrett said. “We were outmanned, outcoached, and outgunned.”

“The game wasn’t all that far away. “It was all about execution,” Garrett explained. “Speaking as a defensive player, I know we could have executed a lot better.”

Cleveland won the first meeting between the two clubs, 36-22, in Week 16. But that seems like a lifetime ago. Garrett stated that Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz did not make many changes to the game plan for this contest.

“[Schwartz] has indicated from the start that he will ride with what got us here. “There’d be no magic call to get us out of anything,” Garrett explained. “They were doing things a little differently, which threw us off guard.”We must be able to make plays all around the field. Not simply in the beginning or at the conclusion. It’s all there.”
The Browns are out of the playoffs, so the former star Aggies defensive end will have to wait another season to compete for a Super Bowl. Garrett has spent his whole seven-year career in Cleveland, and the Browns have never won a Super Bowl.

Garrett was a member of the Aggies from 2014 to 2016 before being selected first overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft.
