ESPN NEWS FLASH: Bill Belichick has competition for Falcons head coach job

There is competition for Bill Belichick to lead the Atlanta Falcons.

Jim Harbaugh and the Falcons have scheduled a second interview for next week, according to a Friday report from NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.
For his initial interview, Belichick also had a conversation with Arthur Blank, the owner of the Falcons. Though Atlanta’s search is still ongoing, all signs seemed to point to things getting heated between the Falcons and Belichick.

The Falcons first revealed on Tuesday that Harbaugh had been questioned.
Next week, the team will conduct follow-up interviews. Being the first applicant to get a second interview, Belichick will undoubtedly face competition from Harbaugh for the position.

The Falcons have interviewed Brian Johnson, Aaron Glenn, Steve Wilks, Mike MacDonald, Ejiro Evero, Anthony Weaver, and Brian Callahan in addition to Belichick and Harbaugh for the position of head coach.

Following three consecutive 7–10 seasons, Atlanta was led by former head coach Arthur Smith, who was sacked following the season.
