SAD NEWS: Georgia Bulldogs has announced the passing away of Club icon and Hero

The University of Georgia said that “Que,” the former Georgia football mascot who had reigned as Uga X, passed away quietly at home on Tuesday morning. He was ten years old. Prior to the Bulldogs’ game versus Georgia Southern on November 21, 2015, Que, a pure white English bulldog like all the other Georgia mascots, was “collared” as Uga X. Due to his deteriorating health, he retired after the 2022 season, making him one of the most accomplished mascots in UGA football history in terms of on-field achievements.

The Bulldogs won two SEC titles and two national titles while Uga X was in charge. His 91-18 overall record is the best in the school mascot’s history. The young dog known as “Boom,” who took over at Georgia’s G-Day game in April, succeeded Que. Now, Boom is 13-1 in Uga XI. The “Uga” line began in 1956 when notable UGA alumni Frank “Sonny” Seiler and Cecelia presented “Hood’s Ole Dan” to Bulldog nation as Uga I.

After taking care of Georgia’s mascots for many years, Charles Seiler, Sonny’s son, remarked, “things will be a little different around the house for a while.” Around 5:30 a.m., Que usually begins barking for breakfast. Boom will be a little later each day because he waited until six a.m. this morning to let us know he was ready for his food.” Que’s life expectancy was somewhat average for this specific bulldog breed. On May 13, he would have turned eleven. Uga With 11 football seasons, I held the longest reign (1956– 1966). Both Uga V and VI ruled for ten years. Que’s burial will take place in the southwest corner of Sanford Stadium, which is also the location for the burial of all Uga line mascots.
