HUGE INTEREST: Saint Are Reportedly Shown Huge Interest in Record – Setting Quarterback Prospect

The New Orleans Saints recently held their local pro day, an annual pre-draft event for athletes from the area’s high schools and colleges. Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt was one of the top prospects invited by the Saints this year.

Pratt recently completed a successful four-year career with the Green Wave, appearing in all four seasons. Throughout his career, he appeared in 42 games and completed 60.6% of his passes for 9,611 yards, 90 touchdowns, and 26 interceptions. He also gained 1,147 rushing yards and 28 scores on the ground. Pratt also holds the Tulane record for all-time passing yards and touchdowns.

Will his football career continue in New Orleans?

Saints invite Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt to a local pro day.
New Orleans has made it plain that Derek Carr will be the starting quarterback next season. This will be Carr’s second season with the Saints. Derek Carr, on the other hand, is 33 years old and, although being under contract for another three years, is clearly on the clock. The Saints must save enough reserves for Carr and a potential replacement. Could this be Michael Pratt?

Nathan Peterman and Jake Haener are now positioned below Derek Carr in the quarterback room. Pratt will surely be able to compete in that room. As for him becoming an eventual starter in New Orleans, that will, of course, depend on how well he adjusts to the NFL level; anything is possible once players enter a team facility.

If the New Orleans Saints want to draft Michael Pratt, they will most likely be able to do it in the middle or late rounds. Whether he climbs up their draft board or not, the Saints made certain to conduct due diligence on a guy who has shone in their backyard for the past four years.
