RAGING CLOUDS: Everton supporters seek to make clear their opposition to 777 Partners’ takeover of Brentford.

At today’s Premier League match at Brentford, a section of Everton supporters plan to express their sentiments towards potential new owners 777 Partners by holding a banner that reads, “The Miami-based company are not welcome.”

Farhad Moshiri, the club’s majority stakeholder, has agreed to sell his 94.1% interest to 777, despite the Toffees’ cumulative losses of more than £400 million since 2019.

Everton manager Sean Dyche met with co-founder and managing partner Josh Wander when the regulatory procedure was well under way. Additionally, 777 gave Everton a loan for tens of millions of pounds to help with cash flow.

The fact that 777 already owns multiple clubs, though, has some Evertonians dubious. They consist of Standard Liege and Hertha Berlin, whose supporters have already staged demonstrations against 777 this season. The Times adds that the British Basketball League, which is also owned by 777, “faced being put into “immediate administration” unless a delayed payment of £825,000 was received.”

After earning just one point so far this year, Everton travels to Brentford this evening in pursuit of their first league victory. the first five games they played. The Blues narrowly avoided relegation in each of the last two seasons, and while some who will display a banner against 777 desire new ownership, they do not think Wander and Company are the best candidates to lead the team forward.
