GREAT ADDITION: Rams have Officially Confirmed and Announced the Signing of Commanders Safety in a Massive Two- year Contract.

Following an unexpectedly successful 2023 season, the Los Angeles Rams entered the summer with some cap room to enhance their young roster.

The Rams went immediately to work at the outset of free agency, filling some holes, most notably on the offensive line with the additions of Kevin Dotson and Jonah Jackson. The addition of Colby Parkinson, a huge tight end, signals head coach Sean McVay’s willingness to return to run-first, smashmouth football.

Los Angeles also made a big defensive addition, re-signing Darious Williams to lead their youthful secondary. The Rams still need more defensive backs, but they were able to recruit one in former Washington Commanders safety Kamren Curl, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Curl, a former seventh-round pick by the Commanders in 2020 out of Arkansas, is a rising young star in the NFL at the age of 24.

He has played both safety and slot for Washington and is coming off the greatest season of his career, totaling 115 tackles, five passes defensed, and a forced fumble in 16 games (all starts).

This is a great deal for the Rams, as it adds a versatile and young defensive back to Chris Shula’s roster. While the Rams may attempt to add more in free agency or the draft, they already have Curl, Russ Yeast, and Quentin Lake as safety possibilities for the 2024 season.

Curl may replace Rams captain Jordan Fuller, who rose to prominence as a sixth-round choice and is now available for free agency.

He is scheduled to visit the Carolina Panthers, and with the Rams signing Curl, it appears like Fuller’s return is unlikely.
