JUST IN: Broncos Are in Advance Negotiation to Land $196 Former Pro Bowl QB in Free Agency in another Blockbuster Trade In Perfect Replacement for Russell Wilson

The Denver Broncos have remained pat after dismissing Russell Wilson, exposing him to the yearly quarterback carousel in free agency.

As a result, Jarrett Stidham will begin the season as their starting quarterback. Perhaps they’ll acquire a rookie to create some competition in training camp. However, given how inexperienced the quarterback room appears to be, a veteran addition may be necessary.

CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin thinks that the Broncos sign former Tennessee Titan Ryan Tannehill.
“Denver has yet to add a quarterback this offseason, and while an early draft investment would be logical, Tannehill offers an experienced arm best suited to play within a system — just as Sean Payton desires,” Benjamin wrote on the day of the draft. “At 35, he’s a low-ceiling rental, sure, but the best alternative in Denver right now is Jarrett Stidham.”

Tannehill completed 64.8% of his throws for the Titans in 2023, totaling 1,616 yards, four touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

He made eight starts in ten games, the fewest of his career in either category.

The Titans benched Tannehill in favour of 2023 second-round selection Will Levis for Week 8 following the bye. After publicly stating that it was not his responsibility to mentor 2022 third-round pick Malik Willis prior to the season, Tannehill softened his attitude following the switch to Levis.
Tannehill started three additional games, including two in Weeks 16-18 of the season.

He completed 70.8% of his passes for 488 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during that time.

Tannehill, who was originally picked with the eighth overall choice in the 2012 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins, has earned $195.9 million in his career, according to Spotrac. This includes the four-year, $119 million deal extension he inked with the Titans in 2020.

According to Stathead, the one-time Pro Bowler has a 4.5% lifetime touchdown percentage, which ranks 16th out of 23 quarterbacks who have attempted at least 3,000 passes since 2012.

However, DeBoer has brought in components from his Washington club, most notably offensive lineman and centre prospect Parker Brailsford. Alabama would have to replace three players right away if Proctor returned to the program he pledged to close signing day, after switching from Iowa two years ago.

During UA’s first open practice in three years, reporters saw Elijah Pritchett, who nearly started for Proctor in the Rose Bowl due to an ankle injury suffered a week before, with the first team alongside Tyler Booker, James Brockermeyer at centre, Jaeden Roberts at right guard, and second-year player Wilkin Formby. Proctor would be a critical stabilizing factor in DeBoer’s power run, deep passing strategy.

Proctor, described at 6-foot-7, 360 pounds, earned a 66.3 season rating from ProFootball Focus, with his best performance coming against the Bulldogs. He was an All-SEC First-Team selection, as determined by league coaches.
