Schefter appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and stated that his statements on Daniels and the Washington Commanders were “completely taken out of context.” Adam Schefter makes it obvious that he believes Jayden Daniels will finish second overall over Drake Maye, but nothing is guaranteed.
When it comes down to it, Jayden Daniels is allegedly unhappy that he and many other quarterbacks met with the Commanders at the same time. It appears that Daniels assumed he would be alone, similar to how the Chicago Bears exclusively hosted Caleb Williams. Adam Schefter continues to clear the air ahead of the NFL draft.

Jayden Daniels has everything an NFL team would want in a quarterback. He has a strong arm, throws accurately, and can run up the field like the best of them. He’s been compared to Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen ahead of the NFL Draft and has a very high ceiling for his future.
The Commanders are only a few crucial things away from being a real threat in the NFC East. A franchise quarterback would go a long way, and Jayden Daniels could be the guy. Of course, there is a potential Washington picks another quarterback second overall.
Daniels’ collegiate career ended with 12,750 throwing yards, 3,307 rushing yards, 124 total touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. He played three seasons at Arizona State before moving to LSU.
