DEAL AGREED: NFL ‘Overwhelmingly Convinced’ Washington Commanders Taking Awarding Winning QB With an Incredile Stats.

When it comes to what the Washington Commanders will do with the No. 2 overall pick, now that we know general manager Adam Peters isn’t interested in trade out of that slot, a lot of us in the media will either seem very tuned in or really dumb.

That’s because most of us believe the Commanders and LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels make too much sense not to happen, and we’ve known that for a long.

maybe those who believe in their own assessment that North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is the best fit or maybe a better long-term solution for Washington are leaning toward Daniels as the big day approaches.

Daniel Jeremiah, NFL.com’s draft analyst, is almost among them.

“I’ve been linking them with Drake Maye for a long time. I just felt like that fit there – I think about (coach Dann Quinn) going to a Super Bowl with (former Atlanta Falcons quarterback) Matt Ryan, and what Matt Ryan was coming out with in terms of strengths and weaknesses, and I thought it actually married up pretty well with Drake,” Jeremiah said in his annual media meeting before the NFL Draft. “So that was my connection there.” But in talking to coaches and executives across the league, they’re unanimously confident that this is Jayden Daniels and that he’ll be the No. 2 choice.

That’s as near to Jeremiah forecasting Daniels to the Commanders in the first round as we can go at this moment, we believe. At least until he submits his final mock draft by Thursday night.

However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Daniels at No. 2 when the time comes.

Still, there are questions, and even those who appear to be completely secure in their decision must have a nagging ‘what if’ in the back of their mind.

“I’ve known Adam for a long time, so I know what they’re going to do. “He’s not going to say a word,” Daniels added about what could happen at No. 2. “I think all of us are going to find out who they’re picking once they get on the clock and turn the card there in Detroit.”

Jeremiah continued his opinion on the topic by noting, “That seems to be the expectation from folks around the league, but again, I don’t think–I think anybody who said they know exactly what Washington is doing is lying because I don’t think Adam’s saying a word.”
