BRONCOS BREAKING NEWS: Broncos GM George Paton Hints a Shocking Update on Courtland Sutton Following His Name Removal From Broncos Team list and Official Social Media Page

Courtland Sutton, a Denver Broncos wide receiver, is still not among his colleagues at the Centura Health Training Centre as summer exercises continue.

However, he is not currently a “holdout” because the OTAs scheduled for the next two weeks are entirely optional. He will not be penalized by the team unless he misses obligatory minicamp on June 11-13.

But while rookie quarterback Bo Nix is in Colorado and on the practice field yesterday, today, and tomorrow, he isn’t developing chemistry with Sutton. The apparently dissatisfied wide receiver posted on Instagram that he is working out in a personal trailer based in Miami.
On the one hand, it is excellent that Sutton is staying in shape. On the other hand, it’s a shame he isn’t here to get a sense of how Nix functions as a quarterback. Nix is undoubtedly the future of Denver, as head coach Sean Payton selected him at No. 12 overall in the draft last month.

Even if Nix does not start Week 1 in Seattle, Zach Wilson is a newcomer. He could very well start under centre, and he’ll need Sutton to have a good day if the Broncos are to win the Seahawks.

Sutton is coming off a season in which he tied for fourth in the NFL with 10 touchdown catches while finishing 44th in receiving yards (772). As reporter Andrew Mason pointed out in April, the numbers indicate that Sutton should not receive a new deal from the Broncos. It’s something he apparently desires.

This is a story to keep an eye on, but if Courtland Sutton fails to appear on June 11, when he is required to be at Dove Valley, it will become even more serious.

Stay tuned.
