Tom Thibodeau cried to the media about officials last night, demanding clarity, but sung a different tune after Game 2.
Tom Thibodeau, the head coach of the New York Knicks, was upset with referees last night after his team was bullied by Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 3 (125-114).
The 76ers won their opening game of the series against the Knicks, with Joel Embiid scoring 50 points and adding eight rebounds and four assists. Embiid was 13-19 from the floor, 5-7 from beyond the arc, and 19-21 from the free throw line.

He accomplished all of this while playing on one leg and suffering from a slight case of Bell’s Palsy, becoming the New York Knicks’ greatest nightmare on court.

Embiid received a flagrant charge after being shoved to the ground under the basket, and in an attempt to defend himself from Mitchell Robinson landing on him, he grabbed the Knicks backup centre.

Thibs was asked about that play explicitly at his postgame press conference, and he said, “Which one? Which one did the referees call, or which one did they not call? I just want to make sure we are clear on it.”

Fortunately for you, Tom Thibodeau, the NBA will issue the L2M Report today, which will provide some “clarity” on the matter. We all read it together after Game 2, and everyone, including the officials, agreed that the New York Knicks should have been called for two missed fouls in the final 30 seconds, and Nick Nurse should have been given a timeout.
That’s all the clarity we need!
Well, wait a minute. Thibs is not a fan of the NBA’s Last Two Minute Report. He only wants to focus on the 46-minute report. So, what changed?
