Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou, according to Bobby Zamora, would have a’strong chat’ with Yves Bissouma.
Tottenham are at an all-time high. Few would have predicted it, but they now sit atop the Premier League table after only eight games.
They won 1-0 at Luton Town on Saturday, with Yves Bissouma sent off in the first half.
Former Premier League striker Zamora believes Ange Postecoglou will sit him down and talk to him about his second yellow card for diving, as he told Stadium Astro.
Spurs were not penalized for Yves Bissouma’s behavior since they were playing a struggling newly-promoted side.
But, as Zamora pointed out, they can’t afford to do that again against a stronger opponent or they’ll be ripped apart.
The plunge of Yves Bissouma
“There is a part of that mentality, in terms of what has happened on the pitch with a player getting sent off, one of those for diving,” Zamora told the BBC.
“It’s something he (Postecoglou) will have to have a serious discussion about.” They’ve gotten away with it because it’s Luton. – They would have been penalized if they had been on another side, and it may have cost them dearly.”
The transformation of Yves Bissouma
Bissouma’s improved form this season has been one of the season’s biggest storylines for Spurs.
Despite the fact that Antonio Conte brought him in from Brighton, he struggled and was unable to replicate the form he displayed under Graham Potter.
But, notwithstanding that tiny wobble against Luton, that is already changing because he is a different animal under Postecoglou.
