Following the game, McManus spoke with Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. The former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker enjoys performing under pressure.
He spoke to Schneidman:
“You have to go into each game knowing that you could be the one to win. That’s why I chose this position many years ago. I enjoy the demanding scenarios.”
Brandon McManus is likely to be asked to kick a game-winning field goal or another significant kick in a football game more than once this season. McManus has the opportunity to make Packers supporters pleased if he continues to kick successfully for them.
McManus Discusses Early Career Struggles.

“I suffered at the start of my career. I got cut three times and traded. It’s the nature of this job. I don’t want anyone to go through it, but sometimes it’s necessary to miss a few kicks and comprehend the winds and conditions. Every game winner, every field goal, I’m looking forward to kicking and scoring more points in this league. I’ve been watching games since I was three years old and attending them since then. It’s still a dream of mine to play in this league. What a way to start my career at Lambeau Field by contributing to the team’s victory.”
Brandon McManus will attempt to make some big kicks for the Packers next week when they face his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars are 2-5 this season, and this could be a trap game for the Packers, who have improved to 5-2.
